Zurück aus Berlin Back from Berlin

Ich bin aus Berlin zurück. Einige meiner Quilts wurden beim Regionaltreffen der PW-Gilde ausgestellt und parallel dazu habe ich einen Kurzkurs "Komposition und Design" gestaltet.
Es hat Spass gemacht, auch wenn die Zeit eigentlich zu kurz ist, um sich intensiver auf ein Design einzulassen. Vielen Dank nochmal an die netten Teilnehmerinnen, die sich auf das Abenteuer Kurzkurs eingelassen haben!

Das Foto oben ist in der Spinnerei im kleinen Archiv aufgenommen und erinnert mich daran, dass ich die ganze nächste Woche für meine Artcloths zur Verfügung habe. Allerdings verwende ich Soda.

Back from Berlin. I teached a workshop about design at the quilters guild of Berlin and Brandenburg and some of my artquilts were part of a small exhibition. It was a fantastic day and even if the afternoon is to short to teach this subject, we had fun and inspiration.
Many thanks to the students, who jumped in this adventure of a short workshop. I think it's easier to have the whole weekend to design than a four hours hurry-up. The picture above is a photo I took in the small museum of the Baumwollspinnerei, where I'm working. I found the ancient "Fixiersalz" there. This let me think about my next week, where I 'm going to work on my Artcloths again. The difference: I'm using Soda ash...
