Oberflächlich - superficial

Reservierungsverfahren sind interessante Schichtentechniken. Es hat schon fast etwas Archäologisches. Während man die Komplexität sonst durch Überlagerung erhält, ist die Reservierung im wahrsten Sinne die Bewahrung einer Fläche, Linie oder Form, die später nach dem ganzen Prozess wieder "ausgegraben" wird. Dies ist sowohl geführt als auch zufällig möglich, die Spannung bei zufälligen Prozessen natürlich höher.
Working with resists is very interesting. It seems a little bit like an archeological procedure. Two possibilities for working in layers: you will get a high complexity with layering on the surface, layer over layer. Or, like working with resists, keeping the lines, forms and patterns through all the additional layers by washing out the resist after layering. All is possible: as intended form or by accidents. I love the second one, not knowing what happens under or behind the resist.

Komplexe Oberflächen haben etwas Faszinierendes ohne oberflächlich zu sein. Complex surfaces are really fascinating without being superficial (in German a really small difference of the words.) Les surfaces complexes sont très fascinant, et ne surtout pas superficielles.
