Events

 

Jetzt ist es schon eine ganze Weile her, dass ich hier etwas eingestellt habe, viele Projekte und wenig Zeit für Computer. Aus obiger Seide, die in Naß-in Naß Technik bearbeitet ist, ist mittlerweile schon ein vielschichtes Werk geworden, das darauf wartet, weiterverwendet zu werden.

In diesem Jahr stehen einige große Events an und nun will ich endlich die Gelegenheit ergreifen und darauf konkreter hinweisen, als bisher getan.

Jacquards haben eine lange Tradition und sind textile Kostbarkeiten. Das Textilmuseum Hohenstein-Ernstthal veranstaltet einen Wettbewerb zur Jacquard-Thematik: Jacquardproben, die im Museum angefordert werden können (www.trm-hot.de) , sollen in textile Werke eingearbeitet werden. Zusammen mit Gudrun Heinz und einigen anderen Kolleg/innen wurde ich für die Jury angefragt, wie alle bin ich schon sehr gespannt auf die Ergebnisse! Hier ist die webadresse zur Ausschreibung 

Jacquard-Inspirationen

I spent some time without posting some news here at the blog, the silk, treated with a wet technique and fiber reactive dyes has a lot of more layers now and is waiting for the next steps like cutting and sewing. There are some wonderful events coming this year and it is time for posting some details.

Do you like Jacquards? The textile museum of Hohenstein-Ernstthal organizes a juried exhibition about inspirations of Jacquards. Some scraps can be ordered at the museum and the challenge is, to integrate the scraps in a textile-related work. If interested, click on the link above. I was asked to participate as juror, together with three other textile artists. We all are curious, what creations we will see soon.

Quiltfestival in Luxembourg  13.-16.Mai 2010

Das zweite Event hatte ich schon angedeutet: das Quiltfestival in Wilwerwiltz, Luxembourg.  Das Festival findet heuer zum 4. Mal statt und bietet in einer sehr malerischen Gegend mehrere Quiltausstellungen, Workshops und auch einen Wettbewerb zum Thema "Bäume".

Quiltfestival Luxembourg 

The second event is the 4th international festival of quilts at Wilwerwiltz, Luxembourg. It takes place at a lovely landscape near the german border and offers several shows (where you will find my quilts too), workshops and a competition show to the subject of trees.
