Nochmal Luxembourg Luxembourg encore

At Clervaux, a small town at Luxembourg, I had a little time for shooting. The town shows every year several exhibitions of photography. And it's a place of towers and stones. Nothing to say about the weather and the season.

Text und Textil in Luxemburg Text and Textiles at Luxembourg

It is amazing, how fast neutral rooms can be changed in studios, full of creativity and ideas. a mixture of inspiration, a little amount of paints, fabric, and of course the ideas of the participants.

Wozu also die Kombination?
Pictures and text, why do you need the combination? This was the subject of the weekend: exploring the possibilities of words, texts and types on artwork.

I was invited by the head of the organization comitee for the international festival of quilts at Wilwerwiltz, Luxembourg. The festival is starting next may and the commitee has a lot to organise. They invited me to teach before the big work begins. In this way they could profite of being creative and doing artwork theirselves.

You can see the treasure of ideas that all students developed. A lot of aspects for this subject: machine stitching and quilting methods for text on fabric, transfer techniques, playing around with text, scripts and types, etc.

Next year at the international quiltfestival (may 2010), it might be possible to see some of the finished works.
